There’s a street nearby, two blocks long, that’s lined with pear trees. Each springtime they make an absolutely magnificent display. They’re loaded with white blooms, mixed in with spring green leaves. Close up you can see how white the flowers are. At a distance the white petals reflect the green leaves, and give the trees a wonderful pale green glow. I love how they overhang the street, almost making a flower tunnel.
These photographs were all made late in the afternoon, just several minutes apart. It’s not really called Pear Tree Street. That’s just what I call it. I wanted you to get to see the street while the trees are blooming. It’s so pretty!
Things that make you go “aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh”!!!! Gorgeous, Karen!
Just beautiful…we have Pink Apple Blossoms. They are so colorful and vibrant this year 🙂

Karen, I love the spring blossoms this time of year. Your photos are gorgeous. The Shady Grove is so peaceful and pretty. Thanks for sharing them with us!
Mmmmmm. I can almost smell the sweet scent! Beautiful images Karen. I especially like the last one with the dark trunks contrasting with the white flowers. Lovely!
Cheers!

Pear trees have a special place in my heart since it was the very first thing we planted when we moved into our home over 20 years ago! It was a bare root stick about 3 feet tall and our neighbors teased us about planting this scrawny little stick and expecting it to become a tree. Now it is as big and beautiful as the ones in your pictures and is such a welcome sight every spring! Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos.
Thank you so much, Donna, Julie, and Cheryl for your comments. I look forward to the pear trees blooming every year too, Cheryl.
